About the Online Therapy Team
At Online Therapy NZ, we’re a small, tight-knit team of four therapists who each bring something really special—and different—to the work. I love how we complement each other, like pieces of a puzzle that make the whole picture feel safe and complete.
We, the online therapy team, get together from time to time—Jeff provides cultural supervision, Anna offers clinical supervision to the team, and we all share ideas, laugh, learn, and keep each other grounded. We’re different in our paths, cultures, and ways of sitting with people, but what holds us together is the same quiet commitment: making online therapy feel personal, safe, and truly about you. If one of us feels like the right fit—or you’re still figuring it out—just reach out. We’re here as a team, ready to walk alongside you.

About Me, Anna Keyter, And The Online Therapy Team
I’m Anna, and I started Online Therapy New Zealand in 2017 because I believed therapy could be warm, accessible, and truly online. I’m a Chartered Psychologist (UK) with over 20 years of international experience.
My style is present-moment and holistic—I blend Gestalt (tuning into what’s alive right now in your body and emotions), mindfulness-infused CBT, Narrative Therapy to help you re-author your story, and family/systems thinking.
I’m trained in working with trauma, grief, chronic illness, parenting challenges, sexuality and gender exploration, abuse recovery, spiritual questions, and big life transitions. Creating gentle, empowering space where people can uncover their own strengths has always been my favourite part.
About Sara Taveira
Sara joined us in 2018, right after her maternity leave. We met online—she was in Portugal but wanted to keep practising in New Zealand, and online therapy was the beautiful way to make that possible.
She’s our Clinical Psychologist, registered here and in Portugal, with 18 years of experience. Sara weaves together powerful tools like EMDR for trauma processing, Internal Family Systems for inner harmony, Emotion Focused Therapy for relationships, and ACT for values-based living—all with such warmth and hope.
She works wonders with burnout, depression, anxiety, eating concerns, relational struggles, or that feeling of being disconnected from yourself. She helps people find practical steps and real reconnection.
More about Farid Shehata
Farid and I go way back—we met during our Masters year studying rehabilitation psychology together and became good friends and colleagues almost instantly. He’s a fully registered NZ Psychologist with roots in Egypt, fluent in Arabic and English.
That cultural fluency lets him connect so authentically with people from diverse backgrounds, especially Middle Eastern families and those navigating cultural adjustments. Farid draws from CBT for clear strategies, ACT for living in line with your values, and pastoral counselling for the spiritual or meaning-making side.
He’s ideal for relationship dynamics, family issues, or life changes that carry layers of culture and identity.
About Jeffrey Robinson
Jeffrey came into our lives when I was working at a maximum-security prison in New Zealand. We connected there, and he’s become such an important part of our team.
Jeffrey is a bi-cultural supervisor of Ngāti Kahungunu and Ngāti Pahauwera descent, with a BA in Psychology and BCom (Hons) in Management. With seven years facilitating rehabilitation programs in prisons and supporting Māori and multicultural groups, he offers Kaupapa Māori supervision—warm, gentle, and deeply explorative.
He helps the team and clients unpack cultural contexts, address biases, and respond more effectively to Māori and diverse needs. His work bridges worlds with real empathy and cultural safety.
More about Michael Han(中文简介)
As with Jeffrey, I met Michael when we worked at a maximum-security prison in New Zealand. Michael has since started his private parctice, and so, become part of our Online Therapy team.
Michael is bilingual in Bilingual: English & Mandarin (普通话), member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) obtained his MSc Psychology (University of Auckland) and PgDip Counselling and Master of Counselling.
I have worked with Michael during our programme facilitator days and I found him engaging, kind and professional.
